The Polish power grid, transmission and distribution use to a large extent private properties as locations of their power lines and transformers. These grounds were taken in the past by the power of the communists or recently through negligence of the law. This paper reviews the most important regulations and shows the possible solutions. Some aspects of legal responsibilities are also discussed.

Energetyka zawodowa w znacznym stopniu korzysta z prywatnych gruntów, na których znajdują się napowietrzne linie energetyczne i transformatory. W artykule skomentowano najważniejsze zapisy prawne dotyczące zwrotu zajętych, wywłaszczonych lub zagarniętych nieruchomości oraz rekompensat za ich użytkowanie. Omówiono także ważniejsze elementy odpowiedzialności cywilnej właściciela infrastruktury energetycznej za związane z nią wypadki.
