EN

Decision-making is strongly connected with emotions. They emerge not only while taking difficult decisions but also simple ones. Despite the fact that they are an essential factor in this process, they make it sometimes difficult and thus lower its effectiveness. Emotions, emotional stress in particular, affect not only human behaviour but also thinking. This article focuses on selected aspects of the influence of stress on the quality of decisions taken. The author presents information referring to the essence of emotional stress and how it affects the rationality of decisions taken. She also discusses the problem of assessment traps, the influence of which increases with the growth of the level of stress.
