The article identifies the contradictions of the global economy within the world system. It discusses the transformation of the economic nature of the value category, as the main contradiction in the world system under globalization conditions, is substantiated. Furthermore, it explores the evolutionary development of globalization and its key differences from economic integration. The development of scientific thought is analyzed in the context of the conceptual approaches of major schools of global studies. It shows that the law of value undergoes profound transformations as it mediates the process of capital reproduction. Another contradiction that becomes visible is the global unevenness of economic development, which has arisen due to the redistribution of newly created value. It is concluded that national economies are an integral part of a unified global economic space and, therefore, participate in the global reproduction process. Globalization leads to the reproductive specialization of national economies, which, in terms of their economic structure, become more homogeneous. The factors of globalization, which contribute to the formation of unified consumer needs are identified. These factors apply, regardless of social-demographic and cultural differences, thereby fostering the creation of a single consumer market while ignoring integration associations and the boundaries of the world’s national economies.

Artykuł identyfikuje sprzeczności gospodarki światowej w ramach systemu światowego. Uzasadniono transformację natury ekonomicznej kategorii wartości jako główną sprzeczność w systemie światowym w warunkach globalizacji. Zbadano ewolucyjny rozwój globalizacji i jej kluczowe różnice w stosunku do integracji gospodarczej. Analizowano rozwój myśli naukowej w kontekście podejść koncepcyjnych głównych szkół studiów globalnych. Ustalono, że prawo wartości ulega głębokim transformacjom, ponieważ pośredniczy w procesie reprodukcji kapitału. Inną sprzecznością jest globalna nierównomierność rozwoju gospodarczego, która powstała w wyniku redystrybucji nowo utworzonej wartości. Wnioskowano, że gospodarki narodowe stanowią integralną część jednolitej globalnej przestrzeni gospodarczej, a zatem uczestniczą w globalnym procesie reprodukcji. Globalizacja prowadzi do reprodukcyjnej specjalizacji gospodarek narodowych, które pod względem swojej struktury gospodarczej stają się bardziej jednorodne. Zidentyfikowano czynniki globalizacji, które przyczyniają się do kształtowania ujednoliconych potrzeb konsumentów, niezależnie od różnic społeczno-demograficznych i kulturowych, sprzyjając w ten sposób tworzeniu jednolitego rynku konsumenckiego, ignorując jednocześnie stowarzyszenia integracyjne i granice gospodarek narodowych świata.
