Technical and economic analysis of construction of biogas plant fed with sea algae biomass and integrated with CHP unit based on I.C. gas engines under Polish conditions is the subject of the paper. For different substrates given (algae biomass, horse manure and municipal bio-wastes – wood, grass and leaves) the authors proposed the technology for biogas generating. The plant for biogas production and energy production consists of 2-stage digestion system and CHP units. Taking into account configuration scenarios and results of the simulations of operation of the plant (fuel consumption, biogas production and energy production and sale) the economic analysis of construction and operation of the plant was made. The basic profitability indexes were calculated: NPV, IRR, SPBT, DPT, NPVR and break-even point (BEP) of the heat utilization production related to NPV.
