W artykule poruszono kwestie związane z wyzwaniami jakie niesie za sobą szersze zastosowanie LNG w napędach statków innych niż metanowce. Wyzwania te dotyczą między innymi technicznych aspektów wykorzystania LNG jako paliwa dla statków, stworzenia specjalnych przepisów dotyczących statków zasilanych LNG oraz rozwoju infrastruktury bunkrowej.

In the article some issues related to the challenges connected with the wider use of LNG as ship’s fuel (on other ships than LNG carriers) have been presented. These challenges are related, inter alia, to the technical aspects of use of LNG as ship’s fuel, the creation of the special regulations for LNG fuelled ships, development of infrastructure for distribution of LNG to ships.
