Artykuł dotyczy zderzenia samochodów osobowych: Peugeot 206 i Seat Ibiza, do którego doszło na drodze publicznej. Relacje obojga kierujących pojazdami były sprzeczne co do okoliczności i przyczyn wypadku. O spowodowanie wypadku został oskarżony kierowca peugeota, który był nietrzeźwy. Szczególne w tej sprawie było to, że oprócz wzajemnie sprzecznych relacji obojga kierujących nie było żadnych innych dowodów osobowych. Problemem podstawowym było więc to, czy na podstawie zgromadzonych dowodów materialnych możliwe jest zweryfikowanie tych sprzecznych relacji i ustalenie, jak naprawdę przebiegał wypadek. Autorzy przedstawiają procedurę rekonstrukcji tego wypadku, m.in. z zastosowaniem komputerowej symulacji za pomocą programu V-SIM. W efekcie tej rekonstrukcji wykazali, że w świetle istniejących dowodów materialnych wersja kierowcy samochodu Peugeot jest prawdopodobna, w przeciwieństwie do wersji kierującej samochodem Seat.

The article refers to the crash of two cars, which took place on a public road. According to the Peugeot car driver, he was driving along the right lane when he saw a Seat car entering the road from the right side with the intention to make a U-turn. The defensive manoeuvres he performed were not effective and the cars crashed. According to the Seat car driver, the one performing the U-turn manoeuvre, she was driving backwards out of the property on the left side of the road, and when she entered the left lane she was hit by the Peugeot car. The Peugeot driver was accused of causing the accident, because at the moment of the crash he was not sober. The authors present the procedure used for the reconstruction of the event, which included computer simulation using the V-SIM program. The reconstruction proved that in view of the available material evidence the Peugeot driver’s version is plausible, unlike that given by the Seat driver.
