The paper presents the diving apparatuses of Polish construction, closed or semi-closed circuit breathing. Presented the research teams and implementation, and the most important technical data of described equipment. Illustrated the problems that engineers and researchers met during the research and implementation processes. In the study, the query was made in the archives, literature analysis, the interviews with people involved in the processes were described. In the final stage, the results obtained were synthesized. The results showed that in Poland, substantially made five constructions of diving apparatus of a closed or semi-closed circuit breathing, such as the Tomasiewicz Oxygen Escape Apparatus, APW-3, APW-6, APW-6M and GAN- 87.

W artykule przedstawiono historię powietrznych aparatów nurkowych polskiej konstrukcji, o obiegu zamkniętym lub częściowo zamkniętym. Opisano najważniejsze dane techniczne testowanego przez poszczególne zespoły badawcze sprzętu oraz zaprezentowano problemy z jakimi borykali się inżynierowie i naukowcy podczas prób jego użytkowania. Badania nad zagadnieniem powstały w oparciu o analizę materiałów archiwalnych, literaturę oraz wywiady z osobami zaangażowanymi w omawiane procesy. Otrzymane w ten sposób wyniki wykazały, że w Polsce wykonano pięć konstrukcji powietrznego aparatu nurkowego z zamkniętym lub częściowo zamkniętym obwodem, a mianowicie: Aparat Tomasiewicza, APW-3, APW-6, APW-6M i GAN-87.
