Abstrakty

EN

The basic economic and social trends observed in the EU are discussed, that is globalization, integration, fragmentation, individualization and being environment- friendly. The trends exert impact on law-making processes with regard to environmental conservation in the EU countries. In the nearest future it is "Agenda 2000" which will take on importance. However, obeying the provisions and guidelines in force is one of the main preconditions of Poland's integration with EU. Guidance Document and Status Report, published in 1997, introduced in details the role of environmental protection in the process of EU expansion. They emphasize that the environmental conservation integration should keep up with that of EU economies.
