Przedstawiono teoretyczne właściwości filtru Gaussa, aproksymację jego charakterystyki częstotliwościowej i syntezę jego transmitancji operatorowej. Pokazano właściwości rzeczywistych filtrów Gaussa i różnice w porownaniu z filtrem idealnym. Przedstawiono przykład zastosowania tego filtru w telekomunikacji.

There are presented theoretical properties of the ideal Gauss filter. There is depicted an approximation of its frequency response. It leads to the real Gauss filter. There are shown its properties and the differences to the ones of the ideal filter. An application of Gauss filter for symmetrical smoothing of a digital pulse train is presented.
