The repair of low-energy impact-related damages in aviation composite elements
Języki publikacji
Abstrakty
Composites are one of ultramodern materials used in aviation constructions. In such applications, a very high strength and low density of these materials are very important. Aircraft's service conditions jeopardize composite structures on impact loading. Composites can fail in wide variety of modes and contain barely visible impact damage (BVID) which nevertheless severely reduces the structural integrity of component. Moreover, low-energy impact weaken the composite laminates properties. The influence on the flexural strength Rg and vital necessity of the repair after low-energy impact composite aerial elements is presented in the paper.
