The article suggests a way of evaluating environmental aspect importance in the Environmental Management Systems, which comply with the ISO 14001 standard. An appraisal is required by the ISO 1401 modal standard, which means the necessity of evaluating environmentat aspects in order to point ant the significant ones. However, the standard does not say how to do it. This arises some problems for the organisations implementing the ISO 14001 requirements and this article can help to solve them.
