EN

The contribution deals with evaluation of blasted surfaces assigned for bonding joints formation. It was observed, that surface quality evaluation only by roughness parameter Ra is insufficient. Experimental results shows, there is not direct proportion between surface roughness and bonding joints strength, because surface roughness and surface irregularity are not identical terms. There is presented fractal analysis as a suitable tool for surface irregularity evaluation. Conclusion presents fractal dimension as additional parameter for bonding joints strength prediction.
