At the begining of 2003 seven new permament GPS stations were established in Southern Poland. One of them, station KRAW, situated in Krakow, belongs to EPN. Next six permanent GPS stations make so-called Active Geodetic Network (ASG-PL). The network is situated about 70 km to the West of Krakow. The ASG-PL network ancloses Upper Silesian Industrial Area. It is region that has suffered most unfavourable crustal deformations in Poland due to mining and industry. First the theoretical background of data processing operation of determining total tropospheric zenith delay in the layer between the endpoints of the baseline is presented. In the given model there are two or three unknown tropospherical parameters, which are estimated. Preliminary numerical results are given. Presented approach enables the estimation of the local differential tropospheric delay without knowledge of meteorological conditions.
