Abstrakty
The advantages of measurements during this quick and comfortable method and the positives of its application instead the classical ones are pointed in the paper. One thinks that the distribution, range and seasonal growth of the European and Polish plant communities changes are linked to the significant riverbed shape and depth ones in the cases of the rivers with the bottom and regime similar to Biebrza' ones. The importance of Phragmites australis, Elodea canadensis, Nuphar luteum and Sparganium simplex phytocenoses in the water areas overgrowing may be analysed not only in engineering aspects (the plant coverage effeet on the bottom configuration) but also in biological one (the environmental impaet assessment and ecosystems protection). Taking it alI into account there should be elear that the GPS-RTK method may be indispensable for many engineering works, environment protection studies and ecological, hydrological and geophysical practice.
