The results of the measuring experiments aimed at examination of the possibilities of the use of GPS-RTK measurements for monitoring the engineering objects exposed to the permanent movements (deformations) are presented in the paper. The authors propose a concept of executing and processing GPS measurements enabling them registration of displacements on the level 5-10 millimetres. Preliminary verification of the concept has been done on the control-network of upper reservoir of the pump-storage power-station in Żarnowiec. The results seem to be promising.
