In 1997 the project Basic GPS-Network of the City of Zagreb resulted in a modern, geodetic foundation of high accuracy for the Croatian capitol. More than 4250 points homogeneously covering the wider area of the City were established. Apart from that, the network was planned as the basis for investigations of tectonic movements and related seismic activity of Zagrebacka gora. In 2001, the second GPS-campaign was performed on 40 geodynamic points and similar proeessing techniques were applied to both sets of results. Scientific GPS-software GAMIT was used to process and compare two epochs (1997 and 2001) and the GLOBK module was used for origin analysis and calculation of displacements. In this paper, we describe our experiences with GAMIT and propose its wider use in CERGOP framework. Possible applications of performed measurements and results of interdisciplinary cooperation with other geoscientists are listed, too.
