Transformation of irregularly distributed 3D velocity field into deformation characteristics related to regular surface grid. Deterministic model and stochastic modelling. Demonstration of the method on the CERGOP (1994-2001) velocity field. Discussion about sensitive steps of the transformation and modeling procedure.
