The paper presents the results of accuracy estimation of airplane trajectory with GPS methods. The analyses cover such GPS methods as: OTF post-processing mode, DGPS with smoothed pseudoranges, DGPS with carrier phases and stand alone mode with SA off. The experiments were performed in April 2001 (SA off) in the central part of Poland and covered two hundred kilometres long flights. The GPS observations were carried out with Ashtech GPS receivers (Ashtech Z-Surveyor, Ashtech Z-FX, Ashtech Z-XII). Six GPS reference stations were used during the experiments, located along the aircraft trajectory. Ashtech Z-Surveyor receiver, working as a rover, was placed onboard of the TS11 ISKRA plane. Positions of the aircraft trajectory were determined independently, on the basis of every reference station. Standard deviations were calculated for each epoch of the flight (one second interval). The results of the performed analyses show that methods of integrated pseudoranges and carrier phases significantly improve the accuracy of aircraft positioning. GPS data were elaborated with the use of PNAV software (Precise Navigation Software) and AOSS (Ashtech Office Suite for Survey) - products of Ashtech company.
