Concepts of applications supporting process of design knowledge storage

The initial part of the paper concerns literature concepts of systems for collecting, storing and re-using the engineer.s knowledge. A set of attributes was created for comparing different concepts and applications. Afterwards the presented literature concepts were analyzed and compared. The conclusions of the comparison helped to develop a new concept of the knowledge storage application. The concept of that application (its functionalities, architecture, working scenarios) was described in the final part of the paper. The prototype version of that application has been built already.
