Abstrakty
This study describes a concept of a new portable tire test rig that enables collecting tire data on various tire sizes, various road surfaces (asphalt, concrete, gravel, grass and soil), speeds, pressures, payloads, and slip and camber angles. In this test rig, the measuring tire is mounted behind a tractor in a frame that is attached to a three-point hitch. The measuring wheel is loaded with weights of maximum five tons in such a way that it behaves as a one-mass-oscillator. The rim is bolted directly to the measuring hub. This is a non-commercial solution that measures six components of load (three forces and three moments). The measuring device is based on strain gages. The braking slip will be conducted by wet brakes that are implemented in the planetary gear. The tire-ground interaction will be conduct for stationary and transient behavior.
