Abstrakty

The work is devoted to model tests of stability and ultimate load of thin-walled multi-cell columns subjected to compression. The models were made from steel and brass sheet. The test stand and the results of tests conducted on models of closed cros-sections (of triangular or rectangular outline) with cells of following profiles: square, rectangle, equilateral triangle or rhomb are described. The curves showing the relation between the averages stress and the column shortening are presented in diagrams. The test results and numerical ones are given in tables.
