Abstrakty
A simple resistance-based method was used to study the epoxy-carbon composite material. Measurement of changes of the resistance between contacts, located on both sides of the composite plate, allows detecting the beginning of the damageprocess in ststic test. In cyclic test displacement of the pin, relative to set-up and changes of resistance between the contact points, versus number of cycles were measured. The results indicate that pins in composites can be used in inessential joints. The method can be useful to determine the margin of safety of a joint.
