According to the main objectives of Workpackage WP.1O.6 the following events and works were carried out during the CERGOP-2 Project period. The following studies have been carried out by the team of the Workpackage WP. 10.6 within the program "Geodynamics of Northem Carpathians". The first part of our work was the organisation and carrying out of the CERGOP-2 CEGRN campaigns and creation of the SHAC permanent station. The second part of investigations devoted to an analysis of the up-to-date vertical and horizontal movements of the earth's surface in the Carpathian region. It was based on the results of existing investigations of the spatial movements and deformations as well as on the analysis of the maps of vertical movements charted by the repeated levelling data. Besides, the results of horizontal deformations of the earth's surface on the Carpathian geodynamic test field have be en obtained. They are represented in the form of velocities values accumulations of defonnations components, as well as of the charts of orientation of the principal axes of deformations and of the distribution of velocities of their accumulations and also in the form of the charts of velocities distribution of dilatation accumulation. As the third part of investigations, we should point out the determination of the precise site of the IVAN point (Pip-Ivan mountain, the second highest top of the Ukrainian Carpathians) by the data of GPS measurements which were carried out in 2002 and 2003. The fourth part of the studies concerns to preparation of the monograph "Investigations of recent geodynamics of the Ukrainian Carpathians".
