A review of the main objectives, parameters and milestones of the work package No8 "Impact of Atmospheric Effects on GPS Height Determination" of the FP5 project CERGOP-2/Environment is given. The CERGOP-2 project ended on July 31, 2006. Some problems related to GPS height determination are outlined and discussed and the main achievements of the participating research teams in IWV and GPS height determination related activities as well as their respective publication activities are summarized.
