Monitoring of damaged historical structures and modern buildings may be carried out by similar methods but not according to the same program. The monitoring of damaged historical buildings should be focused on identifications trends of asymptotic and cyclic properties of displacements and deformations trends. Such programs carried out by the author in the monitoring of some Cracow structures allowed to draw some theoretical and practical conclusions of displacements and deformations values in the whole space structure, impact of temperature effect at the optimization of measurement accuracy and deformation analysis, influence of geotechnical conditions at the stage of identification analysis elevation reference system.
