The participation of the team from Warsaw University of Technology in the SAE Aero Design student competition is briefly presented. The strategy of preparation of RC airplanes for the competitions is presented as well as the account of participation of our teams. The grounds of the successes achieved are stresses, i.e., hard work and devotion of the team members throughout years. Both the aircraft design procedures and manufacturing were accompanied by continuous testing of the airplane elements, supported by extensive computer simulations.
