The method of designing suboptimal control of thrust and speed brakes at necessity for approach of aircraft to given distance from leader in minimum time is considered. Leader aircraft is assumed to fly straight. The base of designing control results from the solution of the model minimum time problem of aircraft approach in toward leader. In virtue of linearity of this problem the solution is defined with the usage of switching function. Switching function may be derived according to extremal segment having minimum wind longitudinal load factor. In this case real dependence of wind longitudinal load factor on flight parameters is used. The laws of control of thrust and speed brakes are forming with the usage of derived switching function. In addition dynamic characteristics of power plant and speed brakes' actuator are taken into account. Process of designing suboptimal control laws under consideration is particularly simple and obvious in the case when aircraft and leader aircraft are flying 2n horizontal plane. In this case longitudinal load factor depends on flight velocity only that essentially simplifies obtaining switching function. Such approach to designing suboptimal control may be used for synthesis of control in the other dynamic problems.
