Abstrakty

The main problem discussed in the paper is an approach to establishing criteria for aircraft safe separation distances during take off and landing operations on the same runway. The vortex wake longitudinal penetration is a critical situation here. A "worst case" method is not acceptable in this case, instead of it probabilistic approaches are used. Some measures aimed at improving flight safety are suggested, including the development of an onboard vortex detection and vortex avoidance maneuver system.
