Ship maneuvering capability identyfication according to the ship`s elementary maneuvers

In this article, the problem of basic maneuvers` identification of naval and special ships, performed while realization of their characteristic tasks, is presented. The problem constitutes the part of major research project, realized by the author of this paper. It concerns the determination of a new and much more wider maneuvering trials-range (expanded beyond the resolution`s A.601/15/ requirements) for naval and special ships being the tasks function of these ships. A new format of maneuvering characteristics is going to be developed and presented as the results of the mentioned maneuvering trials. Identification of maneuvering parameters of the performed tasks, as well as obtaining the information from the new manuvering trials-range should enable to determine the possibilities of using in the ECDIS-data-base system or in navigational integrated systems.
