The results of experimental investigations of heat and impulse transport in turbulized flows typical for flow passage of heat power equipment are considered from the point of view of their further application in turbulence models. The special attention is paid to analysis of unpredictable peculiarities of complex processes developing in flows with elevated turbulence (in particular to origin of an overlayer and to changes of turbulent viscosity in it, to choice of characteristic turbulence scale and to its role in increasing of transport coefficients, to development of untraditional types of boundary layers and to selective interaction between them and external flow). The importance of using of reliable experimental data and necessity of their adequate reflection in numerical modelling is emphasized.
