Abstrakty
The paper is concerned with the application of the abserved gravity vertical gradient for the determination of the separation between the geoid and Molodensky's qusigeoid. The author presents recent results of studies obtained from gradientometric measurements in the sub-mountainous area in the geodetic test field of Warsaw University of Technology near Grybow (Cracow district - the Carpathians). The values of Sigma-N are not negligible for investigations of the Earth's figure. Component of Sigma-N dependent on the gravity gradient reaches the value of 15 mm, while the Bouguer's anomalies contribute about 33 mm.
