Charakterystyka hydrodynamiczna mieszanego płynu uzyskana metodą LDA/PDA

Authors recently developed and applied new experimental LDA/PDA technique which enables a direct measurement of local particle and fluid velocities. From such measurements mean and fluctuation velocities have been evaluated. Measurement has been performed in a baffled vessel agitated with pitched six-blade turbine. This paper reports velocity profiles related to liquid phase. Axial, radial and tangential mean and fluctuation velocity profiles have been evaluated in dimensioniess form and were well correlated by Tshebychew polynomials. Results of fluctuation velocities in all three directions proved the existence of isotropic turbulence m the most of vessel volume. Paper brings comparison of axial mean velocity components measured by various authors on the outlet of the pitched blade impellers.
