Biologia i technika informatyczna będą miały wpływ na projektowanie przyszłych produktów i procesów. W artykule omawiane są ważne zadania, stojące przed projektowaniem produktu i procesu. Wprowadza się pojęcie obliczania ewolucyjnego i omawia się jego potencjalne zastosowania w projektowaniu i wytwarzaniu.

Biology and information technology will have an impact on the design of future products and processes. In this paper, the product and process design challenges are discussed. Evolutionary computation is introduced and its potential applications in design and manufacturing are discussed.
