The results of investigations of SI engine fed by means of injection of liquid propane-butane and equipped with storing catalytic converter have been presented in article. Engine was fed with lean mixture of fuel and air, what enabled obtaining the good value of engine overall efficiency. Applying of the storing catalytic converter and an adequate sequence of values of air excess number provided the advantageous ecological properties of the investigated engine.
