This paper gives an overview of modern high speed photography. The systems that are used at the Institut fuer Kolbenmaschinen (IFKM) in Karlsruhe/Germany are described. Two examples for engine application outline the possibilities and challenges in connection with high speed measurements.

Artykuł zawiera przegląd nowoczesnych metod szybkiego filmowania. Opisano systemy tego rodzaju wykorzystywane w Instytucie Silników Tłokowych (IFKM) w Karlsruhe (Niemcy). Przytoczono dwa przykłady zastosowania szybkiego filmowania w badaniach silników spalinowych, które wykazują możliwości i trudności w zastosowaniu takiej techniki badawczej.
