The formal principles of the modelling of the particulate matter emission from car vehicles have been presented in the paper. Sources of the particulate matter emission from an internal-combustion engine and other systems of the vehicle have been classified. The fractions of particulate matter: total dust - TSP, fine dust - PM10, fine respirabilny dust - PM2.5, and nanoparticles PM1 have been formally defined. The principles of the modelling of the particulate matter PM10 and PM2.5 emission have been presented. The suggested method of the modelling of the PM10 and PM2.5 emission have been illustrated with the identification of the model on the basis of empirical research conducted on stations to the monitoring of atmospheric air. Received results of the modelling confirm a thesis about the usefulness of the modelling of the particle emission PM2.5 for distinguished classes of conditions of emission and dispersion of particulate matter.
