The article presents the achievements of Polish Merchants'Association in Radom in the field of technical education and transmitting economic knowledge in the inter-war period. Educational activity of the mentioned social and technical organization was presented in the context of changes that appeared in the sphere of organization of technical education, and particularly of mercantile education in Poland. In Poland a significant role in establishing and running merchant schools was played by merchant associations. It mainly resulted from the fact that the State's economic conditions were greatly restrained. Thanks to the arising from the ranks and social initiatives it was possible to improve on educational standard of the society, and Radom turned out to be a kind of paragon. The educational activity of social and professional organizations resulted from an authentic need of developing their structures. A liberal law made it much easier to set up -and manage associations. The achievements of Polish Merchants'Association in Radom in the inter-war period in the field of education are impressive. Taking up the scientific if research on them, I mainly based on archival records of Polish Merchants'Association. Among them one can mention: Commemorative Book SKP from January 4, 1918 to April 27, 1936 located in the Department in Radom, files of the School Superintendent's Office of the Cracow School District kept in National Record Office in Cracow, records of the School Inspectorate in Radom 1917 - 1939 belonging to National Registry in Radom, and publications that were issued in the columns of magazines of Radom in the inter-war period.
