Two advanced gas turbine systems with off-engine intercooled compressors are proposed: a recuperated intercooled and reheated gas turbine with a multi-shaft compressor for low to middle output power generation, and a steam-cooled steam-injected gas turbine expander, integrally coupled with a HP steam turbine in combined systems with coal-fired power plants of the high output and highest efficiency.
