Abstrakty
In many humane build structures the constant need of copying the nature is clearly noticed. The structures of leafs or insect wings can be the good examples of optimal reinforcements and animal shells consisting of rigid elements bounded by elastic lines are the next from thousands proves of strong heterogeneity of natural structures. The demand of building light and durable structures causes very often designing numerous reinforcing and/or weakening lines in structure domain. When the main goal is proper redistribution of stress field, caused by working load, the usual solution is a structure reinforced with ribs. There are a lot of reasons, excluding working load, which can effect on state of stress in a structure. Some of them are results of the technology conditions during manufacturing process, the others can be caused as a result of improper assembly or can be introduced by thermal phenomena. Predicting the problems, to achieve the lower stress level, we can introduce slip or hinge lines into structure domain in order to redistribute stresses. However we have to remember that improperly introduced kinematic discontinuities can cause worse working conditions then existing ones for continuous structure. Consequently, an optimal design of reinforcing and weakening lines seems to be immensely important.
