The paper presents a numerical method of calculating contact angle between liquid and filament with a circular cross-section on the basis of shape parameters of a drop deposited on filament: drop length and height and filament thickness. The calculation procedure is based on Katayama's algorithm [3]. The procedure bas been additionally extended with calculations of drop area and volume. The presented method makes it possible to calculate contact angle between filament and liquid to 1°.
