Computer aided designing of woven fabrics - CAD, arose as a tool used, in the first place, for performing tedious work involved in transforming artistic design into a program controlling shedding or coloured picking during weaving. The basic software enables the preparation of a data carrier for the dobby machine or the jacquard machine.
