Abstrakty
Praca dotyczy zagadnień zobrazowania i analizy sygnału elektrokardiograficznego (EKG) za pomocą transformaty falkowej (TF). Objaśniono najistotniejsze, w diagnozie kardiologicznej, cechy sygnału EKG i uzasadniono potrzebę rozwijania komputerowych metod analizy tego sygnału elektrofizjologicznego. Zamieszczono krótkie wprowadzenie do transformacji sygnetów za pomocą TF i wskazano jej zalety w stosunku do analizy fourierowskiej. Zaproponowano metodę wykorzystującą funkcje bazowe TF jako filtry detekcyjne cech diagnostycznych sygnału EKG. Zamieszczono wyniki automatycznej analizy sygnałów EKG za pomocą proponowanej metody i porównano jej dokładność z ocenami specjalisty kardiologa.
The paper deals with methods based on the wavelet transform (WT) for detecting characteristic waveforms in ECG signals. Major ECG signal features that are important for cardiological diagnosis are explained. These features include, in particular, shapes of the waveforms and their duration. A brief introduction to multiscale signal decomposition concepts based on the WT is given and its advantages over Fourier analysis are underlined. Interpretation of time-scale diagrams constructed for ECG signals is given and their diagnostic value in cardiologic studies is discussed. A method is proposed that employs wavelet basis functions as multiscale matched filters for detecting ECG characteristic points, i.e., onsets and offsets of the ECG waveforms. The motivation for using the Haar wavelet and the "mexican hat" wavelet, in the considered application is given and theoretically justified. Detection precision of the proposed method, in detecting ECG signal features, is compared to signal analysis results obtained from expert cardiologist. Detection errors conform with the CSE (Common Standards in Quantitative Electrocardiography) European Committee recommendations. However, more complete tests, on a larger number of ECG signal recordings, are required before reliable application of the proposed techniques can be introduced into clinical practice.
