A method for the measurement of the spatial distribution of a gas hold-up and a three-phase mixture in a mechanical flotation cell is proposed. The proposed method is based on electrical impedance tomography (EIT). The method was tested in a 50 1 flotation cell. The gas hold-up distribution 5 presented at various values of the impeller speed and aeration rate. The measurement with three-phase mixture is carried out with an apatite pulp. In this case, the conductivity distribution of the three-phase mixture is calculated and presented.
