An Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT) system, which is consists of three CT sensors, has been developed to non-invasively measure the transitional powder concentration in a down powder flow. The distribution images of powder concentration are obtained under different parameter conditions. The particle flow rate was proved to influence the uniformity of the particle concentration directly. Then, the axial profiles of particle volume fraction and its fluctuation were put forward, and the results agreed well with the theoretical analysis.
