A robust DMT system got to be based on two different physical measurement principles which can work throughout the whole fraction range of the different components. It is therefore of great importance to know how the different sensor principles work, their advantages and disadvantages. The paper will analyse some of the most used sensor principles, look at their reliabilities and limitations and suggest combination of sensor principles which will give the best results in MMT or DMT. This will lead to some suggestions of possible future applications.
