Production of GM plants - accomplished facts

Abstrakty
Bezpieczeństwo genetycznie modyfikowanej (GM) żywności i paszy jest określone w ramach regulacji 1829/2003 (EC) oraz dyrektywy 2001/18/EC formułującej zasady celowego wprowadzania GMO do środowiska. Niemniej w ostatnich latach odnotowano wiele przypadków nielegalnego wprowadzenia do obrotu genetycznie modyfikowanych roślin niedopuszczonych do konsumpcji, a nawet w niektórych przypadkach niedopuszczonych do produkcji przemysłowej. Niedozwolone uwalnianie GMO do środowiska podważa zaufanie społeczeństwa. Występowanie przypadkowych lub niezamierzonych incydentów genetycznie modyfikowanych roślin może być wyeliminowane lub ograniczone.
Safety of genetically modified (GM) food and feed is defined within the framework of the Regulation (EC) No. 1829/2003, and Directive (EC) 2001/18/EC on the deliberate release of GMOs into the environment. Nevertheless recent years have seen a number of illegal releases of GM crops that were not approved for human consumption or in some cases even for commercial planting. These unapproved GMO releases are affecting social confidence. The possible occurrence of unintended or unexpected events in agriculture industry of GM plants can be eliminated or restricted.
