Thermal image processing for medical applications

Abstrakty
W pracy przedstawiono nowe aspekty przetwarzania medycznych obrazów termograficznych. Omówiono wyniki prac badawczych prowadzonych wspólnie z Uniwersytetem w Glamorgan i Wojskowym Instytutem Medycznym w Warszawie w celu opracowania atlasu rozkładu temperatury zdrowego człowieka. Przedstawiono zastosowanie sieci neuronowych do klasyfikacji obrazów termograficznych na przykładzie stanów chorobowych piersi.
This paper presents new aspects of thermal image processing for standardization of thermography measurements and objective image classification. An atlas of thermal images of healthy subjects is discussed with a novel protocol of thermal investigations. A concept of interactive masks used for overlaying the thermal image is presented. Thermal image features and their selection are described. The results of the classification using different method, including artificial neural network approach, are briefly presented.
