The paper presents characterization of initial raw materials used for production of cottonized flax fiber, the method of production and qualitative parameters. The cottonized flax fiber in blend with cotton was spun by pneumomechanical (rotor) spinning system. The yarns of 40 - 130 tex linear mass were produced using up to 54% of flax cottonized fiber content in the blend. The qualitative parameters of cotton-linen yarns obtained during study as well as yarns produced in industria material in the form of cottonized fiber in Poland l scale are given. Also, the assortments of ready-made products where above-mentioned yarns were used for are presented.
