The paper presents a description of an apparatus for measuring geometry of a single stitch in computer image analysis, taking into account the value of drawing force, in particular equal to the gravity force of the knitted fabric. Studies of model objects let us determine picture definition and studies of geometry of structure elements of regular fabrics, made from threads of different sharpness of contours, let us determine the limit value of an accidental error of the average of 10 measurements. Owing to the possibility of measuring geometry of a single stitch in computer image analysis, the conducted studies of irregular plain stitch fabrics, whose irregularity is expressed in the form of programmed errors of transversal slurgalling, enabled estimation of stripe, taking a relative difference of course heights as an estimator.
