The paper presents the analysis of the influence of depth of needling and length of fibres on elastic recovery of needle punched nonwovens after compression. On the basis of an experiment conducted according to a three-level plan, a quadratic polynomial was used to describe the influence of needling depth and fibre length on the degree of elastic recovery of nonwovens after compression. Further, selecting a polynomial function enabled optimum selection of values of both analyzed parameters.
